Dansko Footwear – It All Started With the Clog
The Dansko brand as we know it today is very much a grassroots, entrepreneurial success story. When husband and wife Peter Kjellerup and Mandy Cabot vacationed to Europe nearly 24 years ago, they discovered a pair of clogs in a small shop. Infatuated, they brought them back to their Pennsylvania home, a decision that would eventually give birth to a 180-person staff, 100% employee-owned headquarters and warehouse.
Beyond its supportive clog collections, Dansko has expanded their inventory to include sandals, boots, and shoes in both women’s and men’s styles. Known for their incredible durability, outstanding stability, and an ergonomic, contoured footbed, Dansko’s clogs have long been a favorite of doctors, teachers, and those in the hospitality industry. Best of all, their fashion-forward silhouettes prevent you from having to sacrifice style for all-day comfort and support.
